Dabba
Dabba is hidden up one of Chester’s many side streets and is an ‘if you know, you know’ type of restaurant. Those that do know are flocking here, and word is spreading, because this is a unique dining experience with an exciting South Indian concept. Family run by husband and wife Stephen and Rekha with their son, Dabba emerged during Covid and only now has the restaurant been fully transformed.
Dabba is an authentic, inviting, and exciting restaurant where the family have new creations constantly emerging, and the food is fresh, flavourful and intriguing. Which is what makes this experience that we have created thanks the Rekha and Stephen and their love of sociable, fun dining unmissable. We are lucky enough to be able to combine the food tour and the tasting menu concept and offer it exclusively to you out of Dabba.
The experience
Your experience will begin with a 60 minute tour of Chester. We will not only show you some of the best sites in Chester, including our favourite hidden food gems, but will also share some of its history and enjoy a drink along the way. With your local food tour guide, you will then be taken to Dabba to enjoy a Tasting Menu created by them exclusively for us (it is exciting!!).
From start to finish you will be told by our fabulous hosts not only what they are eating but the stories behind the food. You will hear how Dabba came about, and the families own food journey! This is an unmissable food experience, including a cocktail. When you are full to the gills with top notch Indian cuisine, we will take you to a beautiful bar, definitely one of Chester’s hidden gems, to enjoy a drink on us. What are you waiting for?!
